A Theatre for Young Audiences Performance
Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) presents Junie B. Jones, a production of ECTC’s Theatre for Young Audiences Program, October 13 – 22, 2023. It’s Junie B.’s first day of school, and suddenly a lot of things are changing for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore, but on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. In class, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard, and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament, and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting. Featuring a tremendously loveable character and fun-filled songs, Junie B. Jones will capture your heart just as the books captivated an entire generation of students.
Nathanael Fisher, co-founder and producing artistic director of ECTC says, “Junie B. is relatable to children because she thinks like kids think. The show is super fun and lets children know that everyone goes through hard times at school; it’s how you deal with problems that’s important.”
Junie B. Jones will be staged in ECTC’s main space located on the second floor of 560 Grand Boulevard in Grand Boulevard Town Center in Miramar Beach. Tickets range from $12 – $26 depending on the show time/day. There is an additional processing fee for ticket purchases. Purchase tickets online at www.emeraldcoasttheatre.org.
