Watercolor Painting Class – Karen Peterson will teach beginners watercolor painting on Friday October 2, 9, and 23 from 8:45 – 12 noon at Padgett Park. All supplies will be provided. Pickleball – Beginner Pickleball 101 at Walton Sports Complex Courts on October 21st at 6 p.m. This beginner class will be open to Walton County residents only. (Ages 18 and up) Registration is required. Register through Parks and Rec Website at secure.rec1.com. The class is FREE and equipment will be provided or you may use your own. Water Aerobics – Two Classes will be held on Mondays October 5 and 12 and Wednesdays October 7 and 14 at 9 a.m. and at 10:15 a.m. at Watersound Fountains pool located at 65 Origins Pkwy, Inlet Beach. Dementia Caregivers Support Group – Karen League will lead this support group for caregivers to provide a safe place to share experiences, provide practical information and mutual support. The meetings are the first Friday of each month from 12:30 – 2 p.m. at the Coastal Branch Library meeting room located at 437 Greenway Trail. Northwest Florida Health Council – Will provide free health screenings on October 15th from 9 – 11:30 a.m. at Padgett Park. Screenings could identify possible health issues, answer questions, and aid with connections to specialized care.
Seniors 50 years of age and up residing in or visiting Walton County are invited to join CSSW. Membership is $30 for individuals, $50 for family, and $100 for businesses (your business will be listed on our home webpage and our Facebook page).
