The Destin-South Walton Toastmasters Club invites the public to attend and participate in its Finishing Strong Together final club meeting for 2025-26 on Tuesday, June 16. The meeting celebrates the club’s successes and the members’ individual achievements during the year.
The club is a member of Toastmasters International, an organization dedicated to providing a friendly environment for men and women to become better leaders with a special focus on improving public speaking skills. The Toastmasters educational program offers six distinct pathways for members to choose from that best aligns with their desired educational goals. Each pathway combine speaking and leadership projects, as well as electives.
Meetings features three main components: prepared speeches by members, Table Topics (speaking off the cuff) for both members and guests, and evaluations of the prepared speeches. Prepared speeches help fulfill each member’s educational pathway requirements. Table Topics help develop the ability to think and speak effectively without prior preparation. Speech evaluators give immediate feedback on the prepared speeches.
The Destin-South Walton club meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month (excluding July) at the South Walton Utility Company at 369 Miramar Beach Drive, next door to the U.S. Post Office. Each meeting starts at 6 p.m. and concludes by 7:30 p.m. For more information, please visit the club website: https://dsw.toastmastersclubs.org/. The public is invited to attend meetings.
