As Fore Her prepares for its 14th Annual Golf Outing, the organization is calling on the community to rally around local breast cancer patients and their families. Far more than a day on the golf course, the event represents hope, compassion and support for those facing the financial burden of treatment. Every swing, sponsorship and volunteer effort helps provide critical assistance with living expenses, allowing local patients to focus on what matters most: healing.
Founded in 2013 by Amy Walsh after losing both her mother and aunt to breast cancer, Fore Her began as a single charitable golf tournament dedicated to helping local women facing the financial challenges of treatment. Today, the nonprofit serves Northwest Florida through three signature fundraising events: the Golf Outing, Tea Fore Her and Pink Run. Beyond fundraising, Fore Her also provides education, hope and connection through initiatives including the Grand Pink Out, Men Fore Her, and monthly peer support groups in Walton and Bay counties for individuals navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. What began as one golf tournament has evolved into a lifeline of hope, compassion and assistance for local breast cancer patients and their families.
Fore Her invites golfers of all levels seeking a fun-filled day to dust off their clubs and swing for a cause at the 14th annual Golf Outing on Friday, September 25th, 2026, at the Links Golf Club in Sandestin, presented by Emerald Coast Hospice Care. Golfers will hit the links at 8 a.m. for check-in, announcements at 8:45 a.m. and tee off at 9 a.m. for a very “pink” cause, supporting local breast cancer patients along the Emerald Coast.
This year, Fore Her’s Golf Outing will bring together seasoned golfers and novices alike plus those simply looking for a festive day, while making a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients along the Emerald Coast. Now is the time to register a team, secure a sponsorship or step up to volunteer with over 200 locals and businesses. All funds raised from the Golf Outing will go to specifically offset local breast cancer patients’ living expenses, while they undergo costly treatments.
Registration is available now through September 1st for Early BIRDIE pricing where participants may sign up for a discounted price of $175 per golfer or $700 for a team of four. The day will kick off with a Bloody Mary Bar by Ruby Slipper Cafe and breakfast from Chick-fil-A. Golfers will then embark on an 18-hole golf outing featuring the ever-popular “Dress Like a Lady Hole” and burgers and hot dogs on the turn courtesy of Centennial Bank. An After Party will complete the day with a catered lunch, music, prizes, giveaways and raffle winners will be announced.
“The community’s contributions through this event give these families a great deal of relief when they need it most,” says Amy Walsh, Founder of Fore Her. Last year Fore Her raised nearly $30,000 at our Golf Outing, and as a result we were able to help offset these women’s living expenses while continuing to provide educational resources through our support groups. None of this would be possible without the generous and passionate support of individuals and businesses along the Emerald Coast.”
