Learn about Landscaping with Ferns and Shade Gardening at the first 2026/2027 Green Thumb Garden Club meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Westwinds Conference Center. Master Gardener volunteer Barbara Young will share her advice and horticulture expertise. Barbara is a long-time, valued member of GTGC.
Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, District 1 Fall meeting, hosted by Destin Garden Club, is on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach. Gifts of beautiful plants are gratefully received during the holiday season. October’s member meeting will educate attendees on holiday plant survival to extend the life of these precious gifts. The members-only pre-sale leading up to the annual Holiday Bazaar will also happen at the October 21, 2026 meeting.
Westwinds Conference Center is located at 4700 Westwinds Drive, Miramar Beach, FL 32550. Meeting check-in time is 9:30 am. Lunch is included in the meeting fee of $30.
GTGC’s largest scholarship fundraiser, the annual Holiday Bazaar, is on November 14, 2026, at Cantina Laredo in Grand Boulevard. The sixth annual Bazaar hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Past year’s events sold out — save the date and come early for the best selection. More details are available on the GTGC website.
Green Thumb will have a golf cart (or two) in the Hometown Holiday Parade in Grand Boulevard, Miramar Beach, FL, on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 5 p.m.
For the first time, GTGC will have a tree in the Festival of Trees, Grand Park in Grand Boulevard, November 27 through December 12, 2026. More information to follow.
