The Friends of the Coastal Branch Library are happy to announce they were awarded a grant from Walmart in the amount of $1500. It was presented to us by Store Manager, Chuck Hamilton, at the Santa Rosa Beach Walmart Reopening ceremony February 24th as part of their Community Grant Program. The money is being used to benefit the Children’s Summer Reading Program and other children’s activities offered at the Library.
Friends of the Coastal Branch Library help fund multiple programs for Children such as: Back to School Children’s Reading Program, Children’s Easter Program, Wings Mural Program and participate in the Flutterby Event. We promote various interactive programs at the Library that enhance community learning for children.
We also sponsor a variety of Adult programs including events featuring local authors and speakers. The Library has multiple ongoing adult programs including yoga, meditation, knitting, art, book club and many more. Each month we promote Art in Public Places featuring artists who display their exceptional talents within the Library.
Teenage programs for middle and high school students are available including art, chess, legos, along with special activities such as an escape house and a father/daughter dance.
Donations of slightly used books are always accepted and help fund our many Library programs throughout the year! You can drop them off anytime and they are greatly appreciated.
The Friends of the Coastal Branch Library is a charitable 501(c)(3) and raises funds exclusively for the purpose of supporting projects and programs of the Coastal Branch Library. We are located on Greenway Trail (off Highway 331) in Santa Rosa Beach.
Please consider becoming a Member of the Friends of the Library. Your donation is tax deductible and only $20.00 for an individual and $35 for family per year. We are always looking for suggestions and ideas on ways to see our Library best serve our community. Your input is encouraged!
