Nate Kelly, the long time worship leader at Destiny Worship Center (DWC) has joined the John Martin Group, a top producing real estate team with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty in Santa Rosa Beach.“We are very excited to have Nate on our team” said John Martin, “he has all the traits of a great real estate agent; high integrity, strong work ethic and a heart to serve people. Nate has never met a stranger and his passion to help people achieve their real estate goals will bring great success.”
Nate came to DWC in 2013 from Daphne, AL, introducing the original Praise and Worship music Destiny has become known for. While pursuing his new career with John Martin, Nate will continue as Worship Leader of the DWC Freeport, FL campus on weekends.”I want to thank Pastor Steve Vaggalis for mentoring me these past seven years and for encouraging and supporting me to take this step. It has been the honor of my life to work with and under Pastor Steve,” he said.
Nate is following in his father, Jerry’s footsteps. Builder, developer and civil engineer Jerry Kelly passed away in July of 2020. His death deeply touched many in the church and wider community. His life was lived with passion, intensity and integrity. Jerry has been sorely missed. Nate noted that: “When Covid-19 hit and the church was closed, I spent a lot of time working with my Dad, and I started to realize how much I enjoyed working in the Real Estate and building trades. I think dad knew it too. The last conversation we had, after his heart attack, his first words were: “Did you get your license yet?” I said Dad, just get better, we have time for that! After the funeral my wife, Kelsey looked at me and said ‘now you know what you need to do- carry on the legacy.’
Nate believes his ministry the past 15 years has been focused on serving the community from within the church, ”now” he says,”I’ll be serving the community outside the church walls, but it’s still my heart’s desire to serve.”
Nate joined the John Martin Group in January 2021. “When we decided to dedicate ourselves to Real Estate full-time, I knew I would need a mentor and coach and also someone who shares the same core values of honesty and integrity. I knew John would be the right fit.”
