The grand opening of the new Walton County Habitat for Humanity ReStore is planned for September 2021 according to J.L. Franklin, Designer & Volunteer Coordinator.  The new, larger ReStore is located on north U.S. Highway 98, just east of the current location.  Teresa Imdieke, Executive Director, said “Our current ReStore services thousands of families in our area. Our new facility will allow us to expand our reach and the increased profits will help us build more houses for hard working families”.

The Green Thumb Garden Club’s mission for over six decades has been the on-going beautification of Walton County.  The Club continued to focus on its mission by providing the plants, including crape myrtles, irises, and hibiscus, plus the volunteers to install the plants, in four areas at the new ReStore.

The GTGC presented a plaque to Habitat for Humanity reading “We dedicate these gardens to ReStore life and all with Habitat the earth.”  GTGC is pleased to be part of this project and is confident the new Habitat ReStore will benefit from the landscaping for many years to come.

The Green Thumb Garden Club, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and a member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs and the National Garden Club Deep South Region. New members are welcome into the Green Thumb Garden Club.
