“Unknown History of Walton County,” a video docu-series, can be watched in the Library’s new Video Reference Area, funded by a grant from St. Joe Community Foundation. Videographer Paul Vizard produced the series.
Each of the seven episodes, narrated by local “historians” tells an amazing story of heroics, bravery and vision…….U Boats in the Gulf and Old Town Santa Rosa (Chick Huettel), Coffeen Nature Preserve (Susan Paladini), Saving the State Parks (Celeste Cobina), The Muscogee Museum (Ann Tucker), Friends of the Coastal Branch Library (Kramer, et al), Rise of the Arts Community (Steele, et al).
A reception honoring St. Joe and the series authors is planned for May 6 at 3 p.m. at the Coastal Branch Library. We will also be celebrating the new Art in Public Places Exhibit. Light refreshments will be served. The Public is welcome!
Friends of the Coastal Branch Library is a 501c3 charity established in 1987 to promote and support library services.
