Seacoast Collegiate High School, the high school under SEASIDE SCHOOL™, proudly celebrated senior Calvin Chilton today as he officially signed with Liberty University to continue his academic and athletic career in Track and Field. Surrounded by family, coaches, classmates, and school leadership, Calvin marked this exciting milestone during a special signing ceremony held on campus.
A standout student-athlete, Calvin has built an impressive track and field career competing at some of the nation’s top meets. In 2023, he placed in the top eight at Nike Outdoor Nationals, followed by a fourth-place finish at the AAU Junior Olympics in 2024. Although injury prevented him from competing, Calvin also qualified for both Nike and New Balance Indoor Nationals last year and again this year, further solidifying his place among the country’s top young athletes.
This summer, Calvin plans to compete at Under Armour Outdoor Nationals in May, with hopes of qualifying for the USA Under-20 Nationals in Eugene, Oregon, in June. In addition to his success on the track, Calvin also represented Seacoast Collegiate High School this year as a member of the school’s golf team.
Beyond athletics, Calvin has excelled in the classroom as a dedicated dual enrollment student through Northwest Florida State College. In May, he will graduate with both his Associate of Arts degree and his high school diploma from Seacoast Collegiate High School. He currently holds a 4.0 college GPA and an impressive 4.426 weighted high school GPA.
“Signing with Liberty University is a dream come true for me,” said Chilton. “I’m incredibly grateful for my family, my coaches, my teammates, and everyone at Seacoast who has supported me along the way. This next chapter is exciting, and I’m ready to continue pushing myself both academically and athletically at the next level.”
Seacoast Collegiate High School Principal and Interim Executive Director Drew Ward said Calvin represents the very best of what the school strives to cultivate in its students.
