Fire up your appetites, the South Walton Fire District is flipping flapjacks once again. The 12th Annual SWFD Pancake Breakfast is happening in Santa Rosa Beach on Saturday, October 10, 2026, offering a morning packed with all-you-can-eat pancakes and family-friendly fun.
This community tradition runs from 8 to 11 a.m. at SWFD Station 3 (911 N. County Highway 393) and admission is $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes, while kids 8 and under eat free.
“Opening our doors to the community is the highlight of our Fire Prevention Week every year,” said SWFD Fire Marshal Sammy Sanchez. “This is a great opportunity to connect with residents face-to-face, share a meal, and show how much we care about keeping South Walton safe.”
Attendees of all ages can look forward to a full lineup of activities:
- Kid-Friendly: Junior firefighter combat challenge, face painting, SWFD Fire Pup mascot meet and greet, and a bounce house
- Demonstrations: Emergency vehicle and equipment tours plus firefighter displays
- Information Stations: Learn from local emergency responders about their services and information related to public safety within South Walton
All proceeds support SWFD’s Fire Prevention and Community Risk Reduction initiatives, funding crucial outreach like free smoke alarm installations and local safety education.
“This event has become a favorite fall tradition for local families and visitors alike,” said SWFD Fire Chief Ryan Crawford. “Beat the morning line by registering online ahead of time, meet your local firefighters, and come learn more about what services we offer beyond emergency response.”
Attendees are encouraged to register online through Eventbrite as well as the SWFD Facebook Page.
Throughout the month of October, SWFD Fire Inspectors and crews will also visit local schools to share information about fire safety. This educational approach helped personnel reach more than 2,000 students and adults in 2025 with fire prevention-related materials.
