Coats for Kids is a nationwide campaign for the national order of Knights of Columbus, a Catholic Fraternal Organization classified as a 501(c)(3) benefit society. Since 2009, they have been able to distribute 95,000 coats in 50 states and 10 Canadian Provinces. Our local chapter, affiliated with St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Santa Rosa Beach, has now started its second Annual Coats for Kids Fundraiser. They are again teaming up with Caring and Sharing this year to distribute coats for the winter season. Last year they were able to provide over 400 coats. This year, their goal is to raise $5,000 to provide 480 coats.
If you are interested in donating, please scan the QR code in our flyer. You will then be able to make your donation directly to the Knights of Columbus. Your donations will go directly towards coats for children in Walton County and are greatly appreciated.
Families who are receiving Thanksgiving meals from Caring and Sharing will have the opportunity to write in the number of coats and coat sizes needed on their order form. Coats will be distributed to families as they pick up their meals on November, 13, 15, and 17.
