Join Fore Her for the 10th Annual Golf Outing presented by Emerald Coast Hospice on Friday, October 21st at The Links Golf Club in the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. Anyone interested in teeing off for the cause can register as an individual for $175 or $650 for a team of four. Registration begins at 8:00 am and tee off is at 9:00 am. Funds raised at the Fore Her Golf Outing are used to financially assist local individuals diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing treatment. Financial relief support includes mortgage or rent payments and utilities, coverage of medical expenses, or helping with auto repairs so patients can get to treatments. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month making it all the more vital to support Fore Her and their mission. As of January 2022, there are more than 3.8 million women with a history of Breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment. Breast cancer is the most common cancer globally, and it’s estimated that about 30% of newly diagnosed cancers among American women will be breast cancers. “When I founded Fore Her, my hope was to give back to my community in some small way while honoring the lives of my mom and aunt,” Founder of Fore Her, Amy Walsh said. “Now, with our Tenth Annual For Her Golf Outing, we are humbled by the community’s support and look forward to surpassing last year’s total of $26,000 raised so we can offer even more support and resources to our neighbors battling breast cancer.”
On the course, golfers will enjoy drinks from the drink carts sponsored by Julie + Rob at Scenic Sotheby’s International Realty and Southeastern Sash & Door, the infamous “Dress Like A Girl” Hole sponsored by Lichon Aviation Services, and a fun time at the 19th Hole sponsored by Elite Exterior Roofing & Restoration! The day will begin with a Bloody Mary Bar sponsored by Sunset Bay Café and will include lunch on the turn provided by Centennial Bank.
