For over four decades, the Green Thumb Garden Club has awarded the Mercer Scholarship to a new or current student from Walton County. The qualified student must be currently enrolled or must have been accepted by a college, university, or technical school with a major in biology, botany, ecology, environmental studies, forestry, horticulture, landscape design or an acceptable related course.
The scholarship is funded through donations from the generous GTGC members, fundraising events and the Walton County community. The scholarship award has grown to $3,000. for 2022. The detailed application requirements and forms are available on the GTGC website, www.greenthumbgardenclubinc.org.

The scholarship is for tuition only and paid directly to the college, university, or technical school. The winner will be requested to make a presentation at the award ceremony for the scholarship in May 2022.
