BoatHouse Paddle Club hosts  RUN/SUP Race Dec 30

The RUN/SUP holiday race is comprised of a one mile trail run and a one mile stand up paddle board (SUP) competition.  The race starts from the BoatHouse Paddle Club, RUN/SUP’s flagship location in WaterColor. The participants will transition from a trail run to a stand up paddle board onto Western Lake. Western Lake is a coastal dune lake known for flat water paddling conditions.

The holiday race series is an extension of the RUN/SUP spring and summer race series that has grown in popular demand over the past two years. In summer and spring of 2017, the race series doubled participation over 2016. RUN/SUP founder Tom Losee will officiate the race.

“We absolutely love hosting RUN/SUP races and look forward to some friendly family competition over the holidays,” says Losee. Losee has been a lifelong runner and a pioneer of stand up paddle boarding. Losee has fine-tuned RUN/SUP for a wide audience, ranging from ages 7 to 70.

The New Year’s Holiday Race will be held December 30, starting at 8 a.m. The race is $30. A RUN/SUP paddleboard will be provided for all participants. To sign up for either race, please visit runsup.com/races/ or call (850) 419-6188. You can also sign up in person at the BoatHouse Paddle Club, or their new retail store in Seagrove next to Whiskey Bravo.

RUN/SUP offers race events, fitness retreats, as well as its own line of inflatable stand-up paddle boards for the beginner to intermediate paddler looking to take their workout to a new and exciting place. The RUN/SUP flagship location is at The BoatHouse Paddle Club, 250 WaterColor Boulevard West in WaterColor. (850) 419-6188. The RUN/SUP Retail store is located at 20 Gardenia Street, Cottage 2 in Seagrove, Florida.
