Seagrove Garden Club’s annual holiday fundraiser changed in 2024, but the tradition of supporting local charities remained strong.  Members of the 61-year-old organization raised more than $9,000 through yard and online sales along with a November member lunch event at Commelfo’s Restaurant in Miramar Beach.

Over the past six years, garden club members have raised more than $84,000 to support local charities in Walton, Bay and Okaloosa counties, especially those that assist children and families. The club, which became a tax-exempt 501©(3) in 2019, made donations to Caring & Sharing of South Walton Co., Chapel at Crosspoint, Girls Inc., Muscogee Nation, Point Washington Medical Clinic, St. Vincent de Paul Society and Simple Faith.

“As in the past, our goal is to make the holidays a little brighter for families in need or experiencing a crisis,” said club president Marie Spafford of Santa Rosa Beach.
