The Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) is pleased to announce that the 20th Anniversary Destin Charity Wine Auction presented by the Jumonville Family raised $3.55 million for children in need in Northwest Florida. The amount raised is a $350,000 increase over the previous year.
Hosted April 25 and 26 to a sold-out crowd of more than 600 guests, proceeds from the auction benefit DCWAF’s 17 partner children’s charities in Northwest Florida. This year’s auction marks 20 years of giving to children in need in Northwest Florida.
“This year’s Destin Charity Wine Auction was unforgettable. Together, we raised $3.55 million to change lives — a milestone made even more meaningful as we celebrated 20 years of impact and honored the founders who made it all possible.,” DCWAF President Karah Fridley-Young said. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude and pride for this community, and for the visionaries whose hearts started it all.”
The auction weekend began Friday, April 25 with 12 patron dinners hosted in private homes and restaurants spanning from Destin to Rosemary Beach that collectively raised an astounding $978,600. The live auction kicked off on Saturday, April 26 with DCWAF’s flagship Magnum Force lot featuring 55 magnums from vintners past and present that raised $60,500. The highest single-selling lot of the afternoon was a trip to Barbados for seven nights that sold for $120,000 followed by a trip to the south of France that sold for $105,000.
Other notable lots included a custom barrel of Paul Sutton Bourbon complete with a distillery experience that went twice for a total of $100,000, and a six-day immersive trip to Champagne and Alsace that went three times for a total of $105,000. This year’s Paddle Raise also raised a record-breaking $260,000.
The funds raised at the 20th Annual Destin Charity Wine Auction presented by the Jumonville Family will be distributed to 17 local non-profit organizations for specific projects and programs that benefit children. DCWAF’s charity partners for 2025 are Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Caring & Sharing of South Walton, Children’s Home Society of Florida, Children in Crisis Inc., Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Ellison McCraney Ingram Foundation, Emerald Coast Autism Center, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, Mental Health Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Opportunity Inc., Point Washington Medical Clinic, Shelter House Domestic Violence Center, The Arc of the Emerald Coast, Westonwood Ranch, and Youth Village.
This year’s auction consisted of 48 Live Lots, 33 Cellar Lots, 18 Super Silent Lots, and 143 Silent Lots featuring rare wines, luxury travel experiences, and many other one-of-a-kind items. The money raised at this year’s auction will be presented to DCWAF’s charity partners during a private check presentation ceremony scheduled for August at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa.
