FRIDAYS WITH FRIENDS – February 10th and 24th from 10 AM – Noon
Each “Fridays with Friends” program will be open from 10 AM until noon. Coastal Seniors will welcome members, who are 50 years and older, to our office to participate in activities, such as: card games, board games, ping pong, bingo, art classes, exercise classes, etc. If you are interested in any of these activities, please let us know so that our volunteers can prepare. VIRTUAL TAI CHI CLASSES -There are still a few spots left in Kristil Knox’s Virtual Tai Chi classes. The next workshop will begin on February 7th and end on March 30th. Sessions will take place via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10 a.m.
To join this class, you will need a computer or smart device with a camera that can be set up to display a head-to-toe image of you on screen. Call 850-669-0579
ART CLASSES – Karen Peterson will teach CSSW members Beginner Watercolor Painting on Tuesdays in February (7th, 14th, 21st and 28th) 9am-Noon. Cost is $20. On Wednesday, February 8th, join Coastal Seniors at The Shard Shop in Grayton Beach at 11:00 am. Reservations are required and the cost is $40, payable in advance to the Coastal Seniors. MONTHLY MEETING – WATERSOUND FOUNTAINS and WALTON COUNTY COMMISSIONER DONNA JOHNS – Friday, Feb. 17th from 11:00 AM – 1 PM. Lunch provided by Allyson Anger of the new Watersound Fountains. She will introduce us to their new facility that offers seniors an elevated lifestyle with resort-style amenities and exceptional care. Commissioner Johns will talk about the county’s plans for a senior community center.

PICKLEBALL – Beginner Pickleball 101 at Walton Sports Complex courts – Feb. 8th and 15th at 6:30PM. Email Sandra Gulak at sowalpickleball@gmail.com for more information and to register. Open to Walton County residents only. Also, please join us at the Boys and Girls Club (located behind the Coastal Branch Library) for indoor pickleball on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. The public pickleball courts are now open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Walton County sports complex behind Dune Lakes Elementary School. BREWERY TOUR – ODD PELICAN BEER COMPANY – FREEPORT Thursday, Feb. 23rd at 3 pm. Join us for a tour and tasting, including food truck, trivia and brewery tour. Location is 355 Bulldog Rd., Unit 103 in Freeport.

Membership is $20 for individuals, $30 for family, and $50 for businesses (your business will be listed on our home webpage and our Facebook page).
