“Goop” is Good for You at Beach Ready Spa in Seaside, FL!

“Goop,” (as Linda LaCook’s husband David calls it), “is actually important in maintaining the natural healthy process of skin renewal,” says Linda LaCook, owner of Beach Ready Spa located on Quincy Circle in Seaside.  “If he would just try it once,” says Linda,  “I think he would become another regular at our Spa. Lindsay would convince him how important routine skincare is for each of us.”

Lindsay Eberhart is the  Lead Esthetician who, with over ten years’ experience and knowledge of all things skincare, has practiced her skin nurturing expertise at Beach Ready Spa since its grand opening in May 2010.  Linda, a licensed Esthetician herself, says with a smile “I love doing facials -Lindsay LIVES to do facials.”

Lindsay explains, “We don’t think of it this way, but the skin is the largest organ in our body, protecting all of the other organs. It regulates our body temperature, and it is the primary receptor to our sense of feel.  Proper care, including regular exfoliation treatments allows the skin to maintain its texture, tone and elasticity.  Adequate hydration allows for blood flow for skin healing and plumping, and to enhance the skin’s ability to produce collagen as part of the renewal process which is especially important as we age.”

“And of course,” Linda adds, “ the various treatments help us maintain our youthful looks, enhancing our self-esteem and positive feelings regarding our appearance. When we look good -we feel good.”

“Absolutely,” continues Lindsay, “ whether your treatment plan provides for the simple, soothing and relaxing application of skin care products routinely by one of our professionals at the spa, coupled with daily at home applications, or for a deeper process such as a ‘peel’, formulated specifically for your skin type, you will feel relaxed during the process, renewed when completed, and rejuvenated when you see the new you in the mirror.” Lindsay mentioned specific benefits such as reduced visible lines and wrinkles, increased luminosity and skin “glow”, fewer breakouts and blackheads, a reduction in uneven pigmentation and redness, and of course, improved overall appearance.

When asked about recent developments in the skincare industry, both Lindsay and Linda were excited to talk about LED Light Therapy, which is new to the spa.  This therapy utilizes red, blue and infrared lights, each providing a particular benefit to the skin. Red, treats signs of aging, and promotes that all important production of collagen. Blue, kills bacteria, reducing breakouts. The infrared reduces inflammation, preparing the skin for deeper penetration of skin care products.

Lindsay concludes by pointing out that each person has their own unique skincare concerns and desires for improvement. Developing a unique personalized treatment plan to minimize those concerns and maximize the improvement begins with a consultation with a skincare professional.  she invites all to “Come visit us at the Spa.”

“So David,” asks Linda, “are you ready for your first facial?”

“Ehhh, maybe,” he responds. “Perhaps  goop is good, after all.”
