The nomination period for the 2024 Perfect in Walton County Awards will be open from Aug. 1-18. Anyone can nominate their favorite businesses, events, and activities in an online form on perfectinwaltoncounty.com.
“From our residents to our visitors, we all have our favorite shops, restaurants, activities and places to explore,” said Matt Algarin, Walton County tourism director. “The Perfect in Walton County Awards allow us to celebrate these businesses, events and activities, and keep people talking about their favorites throughout the year.”
Nominations can be made in as many or as few categories as you wish, but only one online form per email address will be accepted. Every nomination counts and every vote counts. Visitor-facing businesses may encourage their guests, customers, followers, friends, and family to nominate them in any of the thirty categories. Graphics for social media use can be found HERE.
Businesses and/or individuals must be located and serve/do business in Walton County to qualify, and businesses and/or individuals who provide beach services (i.e., photographer, yoga, bonfires, chair vendor, etc.) must hold a current vendor permit with the Walton County Code Compliance Department to be considered.
The top five nominees in each category will move on to the final voting round, which will be held online at perfectinwaltoncounty.com Sept. 5-22. The top three businesses with the highest number of votes in each category will be recognized as Diamond, Platinum or Gold winners at the Perfect in Walton County Awards presentation in January 2024. These winners will be promoted in print and online by Walton County Tourism throughout the year.
Some of last year’s Diamond winners included The Blue Giraffe for Best Art Gallery/ Studio, Indigo Watercolor for Best Retailer, and Black Bear Bread Co. for Best Coffee House.
