Obstetrician-gynecologist Dr. Blakele Bakker has joined Sacred Heart Medical Group’s regional network of doctors. Dr. Bakker will practice at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, located at 7720 U.S. Hwy. 98 West, Medical Office Building, Suite 310 in Miramar Beach.
Dr. Bakker will perform inpatient and outpatient gynecologic surgery, including hysterectomies, vaginal reconstruction and pelvic floor surgery. She will also provide prenatal care and deliver babies at Sacred Heart’s Family Birth Place.
Dr. Bakker joins the office of Sacred Heart Medical Group OB/GYNs Dr. Yolanda Jones, Dr. Anne Whitlock, Dr. Brett Tidwell, as well as nurse practitioner Rebecca Block. Dr. Bakker graduated with her master’s degree in biomedical science from Georgia College and State University in Georgia. She received her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, Florida and she completed the OB/GYN residency program through the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Dr. Bakker is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and she is a resident member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
