Rachel White of Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Receives Advanced Care Certification

Rachel White, a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, recently received her certification in Progressive Care Certified Nursing (PCCN). This national certification is recognized by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) for nurses that care for acutely ill patients.

The PCCN program reviews clinical expertise in pulmonary, renal, hematology, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurology and multisystem categories, in addition to a professional caring and ethical practices component for advocacy, diversity and clinical inquiry. White joined Sacred Heart earlier this year and continues to excel in her nursing career.

“Rachel is an excellent nurse and has received many letters from patients for the great care she delivers,” said Tina Snodgrass, Patient Care Manager for the Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit. “She truly understands the mission and values of Sacred Heart to provide high quality, compassionate care to all.”

White earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL in May 2015 and will be starting Nurse Practitioner school next year.
