St. Agatha’s Christmas Tour of Homes will be on Saturday December 7, 2024. Save this first Saturday of December for a fantastic outing in Historic DeFuniak Springs. The event is designed to showcase the entire city with a sub-theme of historic preservation. Proceeds benefit the Church’s fund set aside for the preservation of its three historic buildings (The Church, The Parish House and The Vicarage) that are open and available for public use. Typically, about 10 homes and two to three restored businesses are selected for the tour which includes the entire residential and downtown historic districts. Sites are selected based on historical, architectural, and preservation interests. Interior décor, Christmas finery, interesting personalities or collections may also be used as criteria for selecting the sites for the tour. In addition, the city’s attractions such as The Library, The Chautauqua Building, The Chautauqua Winery, The Festival of Trees, The Museum, Christmas Reflections, and the Merry Market will be anticipating your visit. In previous years, various attractions for the gentlemen such as antique cars, and tales of ongoing home restorations, musical productions, etc. have proven to be of interest.
Plan to spend the entire day! There could be a surprise or two awaiting your attention. Tickets can be reserved and retrieved and/or purchased on the day of the Tour. Call (850) 830-7663 for additional information.
