The Second Annual “Tutus for Tatas” fundraiser took place on October 23rd at the Emerald Coast Tennis & Pickleball Courts in Bluewater Bay and was a smashing success with $5,500 raised for the local nonprofit organization Fore Her, which assists local breast cancer patients in need of financial assistance.
The “Tutus for Tatas” Pickleball event brought in players of all skill levels, as they met on the courts for a fun-filled morning game of Round Robin, fabulous door prizes, a raffle and silent auction. The only requirement was to come dressed in pink tutus!
All funds raised went directly to Fore Her whose mission is to assist local breast cancer patients who are undergoing treatment and in financial need. The funds can help pay for living expenses and are paid directly to the patients’ creditors.
“It was so heartwarming to see this local group of women rally together on the courts yet another year, in support of our cause,” says Amy Walsh, Fore Her Founder. “I was overjoyed to see a blur of pink in action, and felt that this event really exemplified how community members can make such a difference all while having fun!”
This fundraiser would not have been possible without the generous sponsors and contributors, including Kathy Schumacher, Bo Burns State Farm, Jenkins Engineering, Sista to Sista, Emerald Coast Tennis, and First Nation Group.
support those affected in Northwest Florida. Funds raised are used to provide temporary assistance with bills such as mortgage or rent payments, utilities, or helping pay for auto repairs so patients can get to treatments.
