SENIOR CITIZEN PROM 2017

“Sing and Swing” Scheduled for February 10th

Sponsored by South Walton High School’s Student Government Association

South Walton High School Student Government Association (SGA) is proud to announce their third annual Senior Citizen Prom to be held in the school cafeteria from 6PM-9:30PM February 10, 2017.  Cost is $10.00

The SGA has been planning what is sure to be a memorable event for several months.  SGA sponsor, Joan Kennett, shared that her students are more than excited, energetic, and can’t wait for the night to “rock and roll” with the seniors. It will be an evening full of lively entertainment, refreshments,  door prizes donated by local businesses, old fashion cake walks, a photo-booth, and of course, lots and lots of dancing!

Joan shares that, “Each year we have held the senior citizen prom it has been a ‘BLAST.’ There are not enough words to describe the wonderful memories, lessons learned, stories shared, and special connections my SGA students walk away with each year all because of the seniors.   They are touched by their friendship, gratitude, and support.  Totally INSPIRATIONAL!”

SGA members describe the event as fabulous and unforgettable.  This is SGA’s biggest project of the year and they are making it special because the seniors are special and worth the investment.  We have our returning Senior Citizen Prom King, Richard Girling, and Senior Citizen Prom Queen, Pauline Girling, returning to crown the next King and Queen.

Principal Alexis Tibbetts puts great value in celebrating and supporting the SGA and the Senior Citizen Prom knowing the importance of the interactions between the elders and the youth and the opportunity it provides is endless.

Come and out and enjoy the moment and share in the evening of making special and wonderful memories.  It will be a blast!
