Studio 237 Music School Students Receive Superior Ratings at the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival
Congratulations to the piano and voice students of Studio 237 Music School who received superior ratings at the National and Florida Federation of Music Clubs annual festival! The festival was held on February 11th at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL. Those participating in the piano solo event were: Grace Barnes, Rachel and Michael Brennan, Mary Frank, Fernanda Leyva, Camryn Meyer, Cole Perry (solo and hymnal event), and Carter Zeiset. Tatum Knowles performed in the vocal solo event.
While being evaluated by two judges, each student performed two compositions by memory along with over 300 other students from the panhandle of Florida. Students are required to perform a NFMC catalog approved composition and a piece of choice. Points for superior ratings are accumulated yearly towards trophies which qualifies them to compete at the state level for monetary awards. Studio 237 is a junior club member of the Florida and National Federation of Music Clubs.
Founded in 1898, the club is the largest nonprofit organization in America to promote and support American music, performers and music education. It not only offers festival and competitive programs, but scholarship opportunities to its members of all ages. All music lovers are invited to become members and participate in its programs. Many of the club’s events are open to the general public.
