The family-friendly race benefiting Children in Crisis takes place on Sunday, September 1st. Runners and their families will gather along the coast in Alys Beach for the 8th annual 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. Taking place along scenic Highway 30A, the certified 5K will wind through the resort town. The 1 Mile Fun Run, designed for children 12 and younger, will follow the 5K. After completion of both races, runners will gather in the Alys Beach Amphitheatre for an awards presentation at 9 a.m., with tunes by DJ Shane from Rock The House. A giant bounce house will be available with beer by Idyll Hounds Brewing Company, and additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. All proceeds will benefit Children in Crisis, Inc., a non-profit organization of caring people who work together to provide homes and keep families together. The Alys Beach 5K starts at 7 a.m., and the 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 8:15 a.m., along Highway 30A, 29 N Somerset St. Alys Beach, FL 32461
The price to participate in the 5K is $35 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $15, (kids 12 and younger only) online in advance until Sunday, August 25th at midnight.
From Monday, August 27th until Friday, August 30th at 5pm, the price to participate in the 5K is $50 and the 1 Mile Fun Run is $25.
Any remaining registrations will be sold on Saturday, August 31st from 10am-2pm at the Alys Beach Amphitheatre during the packet pickup.
