The Walton County Snowbirds kicked off their 2023-2024 Season on December 4, 2023. What a great start it’s been!!
The Walton County Snowbirds (WCS) are a collection of fun-loving, caring and sharing seniors who enjoy the wonderful communities of South Walton County during the winter months. This season, they will continue their social, educational, recreational, and charitable pursuits on the Emerald Coast.
The WCS offers over 30 activities for club members to enjoy! Some of these activities include golf, tennis, pickleball, card games, aerobics, ballroom dancing, art class, bowling, singles group, discussion groups, ukulele, line dancing, and a singles group. Additionally, we host several social events including our Snowbird Gatherings, social dinners, TGI Thursdays, trips to the casino in Biloxi, a Mardi Gras trip to New Orleans, and a dolphin cruise.
You must be a registered WCS to participate in their activities and social events. Membership is $20 per person. You can sign up at any of the Registrations or Snowbird Gatherings.
Registrations are held at the Faith Assembly Hall at 306 S. Geronimo in Miramar Beach and are scheduled from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January, Monday, January 8, Wednesday, January 17, and Monday, February 5.
You can also register an hour before at any of the scheduled Snowbird Gatherings. Snowbird Gatherings are a fun social event for the WCS members offering free entertainment, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing to support a local scholarship program, and special club announcements. Come an hour early also to take advantage of free samples, discounts, and useful information handed out by supporting businesses. Snowbird Gatherings are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. – noon on Thursdays: January 11, January 25, and February 8 at Destin United Methodist Church and February 22 at St. Andrew’s by the Sea Episcopal Church.
