In case you haven’t heard, 30A vet is now under new ownership. Come see Dr. Kelly Brawner and her team in Gulf Place, right next to Furry Fanatics and Dapper Dogs Grooming. This little strip of local business basically covers all your furry friend’s needs and you couldn’t ask for a better location.

Starting a business on 30A was a dream and a homecoming for Dr. Brawner who grew up in Alabama and vacationed every summer in Rosemary Beach with her family as a kid. Now officially a local, Dr. Brawner brings experience to our beach community as a seasoned emergency and critical care veterinarian. Her clinic is a full-service animal hospital for dogs and cats, providing state-of-the-art services such as digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, ultrasound scanning, full-service dentistry, senior pet care, chronic pain management, behavioral consultation, vaccinations, heart worm and flea prevention, skin allergy care, internal medicine, surgery, and preventive wellness blood work. Don’t order your pet supplies before you check with the clinic. 30A Vet is home to a full-service pharmacy and offers a line of essential oils for your pet.

In addition to these services, 30A vet is the only clinic in Walton County that offers therapeutic laser treatment. Laser therapy is noninvasive, requires no sedation or drugs, is effective and very well tolerated by pets of all kinds. Laser therapy works by utilizing your pet’s own healing powers within the body by stimulating cellular activity, increasing blood and lymphatic circulation, speeding tissue repair, and decreasing inflation while stimulating nerve regeneration. It is FDA-approved and one of the best treatments for reducing inflammation and pain. Don’t let the word ‘laser’ frighten you. The term is an acronym for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”, in very low doses that is emitted by low levels of radiation in the form of light energy. Laser therapy is a great option for treating wounds, infections, inflammation, sprains, strains and factures, as well as degenerative joint disease, periodontal disease, hip dysplasia, arthritic conditions, feline acne and so much more.

30A Vet is open Monday – Friday, from 8AM – 6:30PM and Saturday from 8AM – 4PM, and not just for prescription pick-ups. That’s right, no more frantic and expensive road trips to Niceville to visit the emergency clinic for weekend injuries. Dr. Brawner is on-call on Sundays for emergencies only. As a long-time and serious cat lady, I can tell you there isn’t any other vet in all of Walton County open on the weekend for anything more than a prescription pickup. For anyone who has ever had a pet emergency on a Saturday afternoon, you know what a relief this is.

Come see Dr. Brawner and her team at Gulf Place on 30A. 56 Spires Lane, Unit 14A • Santa Rosa Beach • 850) 660-1892 or for more information visit www.30avet.com.
