The final days of the 2025–2026 school year are finally upon us, and across Walton County, that means one thing—graduation season is here. It’s a time filled with celebration, reflection, and excitement as the Class of 2026 prepares to take its next steps.
Ceremonies will kick off on May 16, with In10sity School of Excellence graduating at 4 p.m., followed by Freeport High School at 7 p.m. The celebration continues on May 19 with the Magnet Innovation Center at 7 p.m., and on May 21 with South Walton High School at 7 p.m. Walton High School seniors will walk the stage on May 22 at 7 p.m., and Paxton High School will close out the season on May 23 with a 2 p.m. ceremony.
Each ceremony marks more than just the end of high school—it represents years of dedication, perseverance, and growth. This year’s graduates have truly lived out what it means to “Keep the Charge,” demonstrating resilience and commitment every step of the way.

As families make plans for the end of the school year, a few key dates are worth noting. There will be no school on May 25 in observance of Memorial Day, and the last day for students is May 29.
With summer just around the corner, families are encouraged to stay engaged. Be sure to check with your child’s school for Summer Bridge opportunities designed to help students maintain academic progress and avoid the “summer slide.” These programs offer a valuable way to keep learning going even after the final bell rings.
Also, keep an eye on district social media channels for updates on when the EPIC Van will be visiting neighborhoods throughout the summer, bringing fun and educational experiences directly into the community.
As another school year comes to a close, Walton County celebrates the achievements of its students and looks ahead with pride. Congratulations to the Class of 2026—and best wishes for a safe, restful, and rewarding summer.
