Interactive variety show-style comedy runs January 28-February 6
“This season we were looking for shows that were fun and funny and ‘Miss Abigail’ fits the bill,” says Emerald Coast Theatre Company producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “Whether you are into dating, mating or marriage — or all three — this comedy is relatable and will bring the laughter we all need.”
In this Off-Broadway romp by Ken Davenport (“Spring Awakening” (Tony nomination) “Kinky Boots” (Tony Award)) and Sarah Saltzberg), “Miss Abigail” takes you back to a simpler time before “booty calls” and speed-dating, back when “fidelity” was more than an investment firm.
This is the story of Miss Abigail (Kindra Steenerson), the most sought-after relationship expert to the stars (think Dr. Ruth meets Emily Post), and her sexy sidekick Paco (Elbi Cespedes), as they travel the world teaching Miss Abigail’s outrageously funny “how-to” tips on dating, mating and marriage.
The audience participates in this hilarious variety show and Miss Abigail’s strapping young assistant is there to provide for her every need. This smash Off-Broadway hit will keep you laughing all night long — that’s the Miss Abigail “guarantee.”
The show opens Friday, Jan. 28 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 6. Performances are Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinees Jan. 30 and Feb. 6.
