Prayers were answered this August when the pastors of Redeemer30A heard that the Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast, or BCGEC, had space available for their young, growing church.
After much prayer and deliberation, the move was approved by the expanding church’s membership and accepted with joy by the BCGEC’s leadership. Now, beginning on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 10 a.m., Redeemer30A will meet at the Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast’s South Walton location at 427 Greenway Trail in Santa Rosa Beach. “For the past two years, we have been praying for a space that would accommodate our growing church but have had many doors closed,” said Pastor David Huffman. “It’s been so great to look back and see how God has answered prayers in His perfect timing, in this perfect way.” Redeemer30A met in the Tack Room of Arnett Stables for the past few years, but each Sunday more Christ-seekers poured into the space, often leaving only standing room or outside seating available. With an average of 200 people attending each service, all in attendance knew the church needed a new home. Pastor Josh Pool explained that the new space found with the BGCEC meets the unique needs of Redeemer30A, giving the church dedicated classrooms for its children’s ministries and an indoor location for its monthly fellowship meals, as well as an addition to a larger worship space for the growing church. “We believe that this increase in space will position us to further our mission in Santa Rosa Beach and beyond,” said Pool. From helping with concessions at local high school sporting events and getting to know students who’ve traveled to the area on J1 visas to sending missionaries to help around the world, Redeemer30A actively works in our community and internationally to further its mission of spreading God’s Word. “We’re deeply committed to Christ and the authority of His Word in our lives as we strive to make disciples and disciple-makers,” said Huffman. “We hope that with this new space we can share Jesus with every man, woman and child in South Walton, teaching them to clearly declare and display His gospel in their everyday lives.” For more information about Redeemer30A and its new location, please visit www.redeemer30a.com or follow the church on Facebook for the latest updates at www.facebook.com/redeemer30A.
