The South Walton Fire District (SWFD) is thrilled to announce the release of its new smartphone application. This free app will serve as another way for SWFD to connect with South Walton residents, visitors, and responders, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone.
The app offers streamlined access to information from SWFD related to public safety and the customer services the District provides. With the use of the app, users can access features such as:
- Applying for a Beach Bonfire Permit
- Access to Beach Safety information and Double Red Flag push notifications
- Links to SWFD’s social media accounts and press releases
- Active calls SWFD units are responding to
- Fire and Life Safety Inspection Requests and Fire Prevention information
- Natural Disaster Preparedness information for events like wildfires and hurricanes
- Up-to-date push notifications for major emergencies happening in South Walton
“As we continue to see unprecedented growth in the South Walton community, we know the demand for SWFD’s services will continue to grow as well,” says SWFD Fire Chief Ryan Crawford. “The release of this smartphone application will help us in providing our residents and visitors with the information they need to be informed and prepared. It also better connects them with the resources we have available as their local Fire District.”
